Petra (Mexico, 1993) is an artist who investigates the intersection between body and virtuality, questioning and creating diverse imaginaries with moving images. Experimentation plays a fundamental role in her work, inspired by nature, and observing her surroundings, she discovers interesting spectrums of spatiality, between the mainstream and the digital. In his work he uses different technologies such as creative programming, machine learning, computer vision, animation, performance, dance on screen, expanded movement, and others. His work has been exhibited, among other places, at Museo Chiapas de Ciencia y Tecnología, Miami Art Week, Super Chief Gallery NFT, Free The Kitsch Festival, MIVA Festival, Encuentro IDOCDE.net, London Fashion Week, NFT Festa, NFT NYC and Plexus Projects. His work as a performer has led him to collaborate with companies, meetings and performing arts festivals such as Nadére, Arts Vivants (CAN), Baal Dance Company (ES), Encuentro Nacional de Danza, Festival Extremadura, Festival Onesimo González, FIDCCDMX and institutions such as INBAL, Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público, Secretaría de Cultura Jalisco, Alianza Francesa México, she is also a member of some Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAO) such as Bright Moments Art Gallery, Refraction and Nouns Amigos In 2016, Petra started to digitize her work and is currently part of different projects at the crossroads of cryptography, generative art and new media.
